LOYAL DE NEUVILLE
Artist & Illustrator
Loyal de Neuville knew at once the innocence and enthusiasm of the Rip Squeak characters was a confident match for his acute imagination and gentle nature. Loyal was welcomed to the Rip Squeak team due to his ability to create uncompromisingly brilliant art in a sundry of genres.
Loyal’s passion for the arts has been a driving force from an early age. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he attended Cass Technical, a prestigious school known for its art, music, drama, and dance curriculum. The seeds for an ever-evolving artist were planted early on in this home of talented young ones that produced artistic legends in the likes of Diana Ross, Lily Tomlin, and Ellen Burstyn.
Loyal cultivated his fine art talents after high school attending Pratt Institute in New York City. With the art-infused culture of New York City as his playground Loyal gained experience in a wide array of media including oil, acrylics, airbrush, watercolor, computer illustration, and mixed media.
Over the course of his 25 year artistic career in fine art and illustration Loyal’s work has been featured on international magazine covers and in books presenting an extensive display of subject material: world events, social issues, science and space, Biblical and historical accounts, landscape, the animal kingdom, portraits of public figures, etc. Loyal has also gained experienced in commissioned portraits, allowing his creativity and inquisitive nature to aid him in surpassing his client’s vision.
Loyal will be working closely with the rest of the Rip Squeak® team to create artwork for future Rip Squeak and Friends® books and other ventures.
