LEE COHEN
Writer
Lee Cohen is a writer, filmmaker and journalist. He has written and produced numerous feature films and written for children's television. In addition, Lee Cohens first book, The Children of Willesden Lane, a story of wartime London, published by Time Warner, is a Milken Family Foundation award winner and is an integral part of the curriculum in schools around the U.S.
Lee is also the author of the picture books, Rose and Roger and Happy With Me and the spoken work recording, The Mother Goose suite, recorded by Meryl Streep. As an editorial director, he has supervised numerous books for the Every Picture Press and the Rip Squeak and Friends book series. He has written two new books for Rip Squeak Press, Find the Magic and The Surprise Party.
Lee Cohen and his wife, interior designer Lois Sarkisian, are also the founders of the innovative Los Angeles gallery, Every Picture Tells A Story..., which features the work of the world's greatest illustrators - including Maurice Sendak, Hilary Knight, Garth Williams and...the art of Rip Squeak.
